Before we dive into the causes of droopy eyes, let's understand the anatomy at play.

The eyelids are composed of two folds of the thinnest skin on the body and have very important purposes:

  1. They help protect the eyes from dryness, foreign bodies, and excess strain.

  2. During sleep, the eyelids spread tears evenly around the eyes to keep them hydrated, help them rejuvenate by blocking light, and keep dust and debris out.


The levator muscle, responsible for lifting the upper eyelid, plays a vital role in maintaining an open and alert look. When this muscle weakens or malfunctions, it can resulting in the drooping appearance of the eyelid.

Whether caused by aging, genetics, or other factors, droopy eyelids can impact self-esteem and even obstruct vision. The thought of undergoing surgery or resorting to temporary fixes might seem daunting, but there's an alternative that's both holistic and promising - face yoga. Face Yoga Exercises For Droopy Eyes

 1.Eyelid Lift: Gently place the palms of your hands on your eyebrows. Lift your eyebrows slightly while trying to close your eyelids. Feel the resistance in your eyelids as you hold for a 5-10 seconds seconds. Repeat 5 times.This exercise is an effective resistance workout for the eye area.

2. Eyelid Squeeze: Close your eyes. Then gently place the index finger of each hand across each eyelid. keep the elbows lifted and out to the sides of the body. Gently apply some pressure with the pads of your index fingers to your eyelids. With some pressure still applied, try to open the eyes to a count of five. Repeat this for at least 5-10 times.

3. Temple Toner: Place your fingertips on your temples and apply gentle pressure. Close your eyes and look up as you lift your temples gently. Hold for a few seconds and release. Repeat 5 times.
